Emergencies outside normal hours - evenings, night and weekends

From October 2004 the Out Of Hours Emergency Doctor Service became the responsibility of West Wiltshire Primary Care Trust, now Wiltshire NHS.

If you require urgent attention outside normal surgery hours please telephone 01225 709311 and listen carefully to the recorded message. You will then have another telephone number to call - Wiltshire Medical Services (WMS), based in Greenways Business Park, Chippenham, from March 2008. The telephone number for WMS is 0300 111 5717.

You may have to visit the Primary Care Emergency Centre, or a Doctor may visit you if you are too ill or infirm to attend the Centre.

In cases of extreme emergency, phone 999 and ask for the ambulance service.
